Karachi: Al-though the captain of Pakistani blind Cricket team, Zeeshan Abbasi has been discharged from the hospital after his illness during Banglore tour, there are questions that still need to be answered.
According to news reports, the action of the hotel’s management is too small to be considered ‘serious’ against the grave incident that could have claimed life of the star batsman.
The sacking of one or two members of the staff simply does not seem enough. What would India do if the same had happened with one of their batsmen in Pakistan?
Moreover, a possible conspiracy in the incident cannot be ruled out; Pakistan has remained unbeatable in the blind Cricket tournament. The incident may also be regarded as a move to sabotage relations between the two countries.
The question whether it was a coincidence or conspiracy still needs to be answered.
Apologies, acceptance
Organizer of the tournament, G K Mahanatesh has deplored the incident, saying he wanted a rather thorough investigation of the case. On the other hand, Pakistan Blind Cricket Council has accepted the apology of the hotel staff, saying it does not affect the event.
