Islamabad: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf said on Saturday that the blind cricket team captain Zeeshan Abbasi is discharged from the hospital and he is out of danger.
The PCB Chairman said that it was not true that Abbasi drank acid but the waiter mistakenly served dish washing liquid to the captain.
“Hotel management has fired the waiter involved in the act,” he added.
Ashraf further said that the mistake committed by one person would not affect the cricketing ties of the two arch-rivals and the Pakistan national team would tour India in December as per schedule.
“Pakistani team for Indian tour will be announced on Monday,” he said adding that the team would be selected on merit.
