Karachi: Sindh Assembly on Friday unanimously adopted a resolution against the construction of controversial Kalabagh dam.
The resolution tabled by PPP legislator Imran Zafar Leghari was unanimously approved by both government and opposition saying that the Lahore High Court (LHC) had no jurisdiction to order the construction of the dam after it was earlier rejected by the three provincial assemblies of the country.
The assembly session presided by Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza began after almost one and a half hour from its actual time and witnessed heated debate over the issue with assembly members using slang language and chanting slogans against each other.
