Islamabad: Pakistan’s advisor to Prime Minister on Petroleum Dr. Asim Hussain on Wednesday said that over 200 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations are stealing gas across Pakistan.
Talking to media, Mr. Hussain said that he had told Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) about the theft but they had not taken any action against the stations.
He further said that he could not name them one by one but he had provided the list of over 200 stations to Ogra but they were not doing anything against them.
It is to be mentioned here that a rift is continuing between government and All Pakistan CNG Stations Association (APCNGSA) on the issue of gas prices as government is keen to implement Supreme Court decision and lower the prices but on the other hand the association is demanding an increase in the price.
