Paris: Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia on Wednesday announced new Windows Phone 8 member the Lumia 620 at LeWeb 2012 in Paris.
Nokia is betting heavily on its range of high-end Lumia smartphones, based on Microsoft Corp’s Windows platform, as it battles fast-growing rivals including iPhone-maker Apple Inc and vendors of Android-based handsets such as South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Co Ltd.
Lumia 620 features:
– 3.8-inch TFT screen at WVGA resolution (800 x 480)
– 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor,
– 512 gig of RAM
– 8GB of internal storage, expandable by microSD (up to 64GB cards supported)
– 5-megapixel shooter with LED flash capable of recording 720p video occupies the back
– VGA front camera
– WiFi and WCDMA 3G with NFC
– Bluetooth 3.0
– 1,300mAh battery

$249 (excluding taxes and subsidies)
Release date:
According to Engadget, the smartphone will be released in January next year, first in Asia, then expanding to Europe, the Middle East and other territories later.
