Lahore: Pakistan’s premier domestic Twenty20 event Faysal Bank T20 Cup experienced another nail biting thriller on Tuesday as Faisalabad Wolves outshines Rawalpindi Rams by 17 runs in a match been played at Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.
Experienced wolves showed their worth as they won the toss and opted to bat first. They scored a total of 148 runs at the loss of 8 wickets.
Faislabad opener Ali Waqas scoring 53 of 47 and middle order Khurram Shehzad making quick 33 of just 19 balls led their team to set a target of 148 against the talented Rams.
Skipper Sohail tanvir was the pick of the bowlers for Rams as he bowled a brilliant spell taking 3 in 4 overs giving only 23 runs.
In reply, the Rams looked a bit uneasy right from the start and the target turned out to be too much for them as they were bundled out to 131, getting short by 17 runs in the crucial match.
 Umar Amin was the only batsman who showed some fight as he scored 47 of 41 at the strike rate of 114.63.
Khurram Shehzad bagging 2 wickets and Asad Ali bagging 3 were the pick of the bowlers for Wolves. Khurram Shehzad turned out to be the Player of the match.
The Faysal Twenty 20 Cup featuring 14 regional teams commenced at the provincial capital on Dec 1 and will run until 9th of the month.
