Brussels: Pakistan has inked an agreement with the 50 countries associated with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (Nato) in connection with the international corridor.
The draft of the pact will soon be sent to the federal cabinet for approval, after which it will get the nod of the defence ministry of the country.
Expressing his views, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani said they completely support Afghan peace process, adding that Pakistan has given exemplary sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
Secretary General Nato Anders Fogh Rasmussen, also, said they acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices.
It is to be noted that Pakistan can withdraw the move anytime on a short notice. It had conducted several meetings with Nato in this regard, while a similar agreement was signed with the US some time ago.
Earlier, Rasmussen welcomed Pakistan Foreign Minister, Hina Rbbani Khar to Nato headquarters as she arrived there to hold meetings with North Atlantic Council to discuss issues relating to stability and mutual interests.
