Lahore: Pakistan Blind Cricket team left for India on Friday to participate in the Twenty20 World Cup for the blinds.
The squad comprising 17 players and two officials left for the neighbouring country on earlier Friday.
The team’s coach Anis Javed and Manager Bilal Safi while talking to media at Lahore Airport showed their full confidence in the team and said that the team was fully prepared to win the event as they had won the cup twice in past.
“T20 is much faster than other formats of the game. We have done extensive training and included six all-rounders to strengthen our squad,” they said.
Zeeshan Abbasi, the skipper, said that Australia would be tough opponent but they were hopeful for their victory in the mega event.
Pakistan team will start their campaign with match against England on December 2.
India, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Nepal are the other teams to participate in the tournament.
