Islamabad: The federal cabinet of Pakistan has approved a bill approving the formation of an international counter terrorism authority which will develop strategy after due consultation with the stakeholders.
This was revealed by the Federal Minister for Information, Qama Zaman Kaira while briefing the media after an important meeting of the cabinet held at the federal capital.
Terming it the need of time, he informed that the authority has been formed to eradicate terrorism from the country.
On this occasion, the federal minister also informed that Pakistan and Iran had signed an accord on enhancing mutual security cooperation during the D8 leadership summit recently in Islamabad.
He further said talks were also held with Saudi Arabia on import of fertilizers, while establishment of a joint bank of the member countries was also mulled on the occasion.
