Karachi: The Minister for Prisons of Sindh, Manzoor Hussain Wassan on Wednesday expressed reservations on the proposed voter lists as he called on Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan, Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim on Wednesday.
The provincial minister said that ‘votes of some areas were shifted to other areas’. He also asked the CEC to deploy army units at sensitive polling stations.
Wassan said strict should be kept to restrain issuance of fake ID cards. He also said that the ‘opposition did rigging in the past but they will not follow the suite’.
The former home minister recalled that coalition partners had agreed for targeted operation in Karachi. He added that the local body elections in the country will be held after general elections here.
