Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to initiate a countrywide survey from tomorrow (Thursday) to identify the number of sensitive polling stations.
According to sources, the ECP has given directions in this regard to all the provincial election commissioners in a bid to hold general elections safe and sound.
“It has been decided that over 1,000 polling stations that have a history of violence will be moved to other places.”
Authorities are hopeful that the fresh move will help curb violence and terrorism in the said vicinities and help gather valuable information before the beginning of the election process.
