Islamabad: The main character in Dr Arsalan Iftikhar case, Malik Riaz, has vehemently rejected the Shoaib Suddle Commission, saying he had no hope of justice from it.
Talking to the media representatives after his first ever appearance before the commission, Malik Riaz, questioning the existence of the commission, claimed that the measures taken by the commission during October 5 to November 6 were unconstitutional.
During his talk to the media, he kept on terming Arsalan a ‘don’.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Riaz counsel Zahid Bukhari said that they had no hope of justice from the commission and they had already challenged it in the Supreme Court. He reiterated that the commission has completed its ‘life span’.
On the other hand, the commission rejected the impression of being biased and said it was treating both parties fairly.
Earlier, the commission had issued notice to the chairman Bahria Town in connection with the investigation against Dr Arsalan Iftikhar. The case was handed over from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to the commission by the SC.
