Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan has extended the deadline for the submission of affidavits in dual nationality case till November 30.
ECP secretary Afzal Khan said that members of national and provincial assemblies requested the commission to extend the submission date on the pretext of Hajj.
He said that the ECP would write to the members whose affidavits are not attested.
Khan added that till the deadline the ECP had not received the affidavits of more than 200 members, including Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, federal minister Khursheed Shah, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman and Leader of the House in the Senate Jahangir Badar.
