Dubai: A young Emirati man died on way to hospital to see his newborn baby, a report said on Tuesday.
The report said that 32-year-old Bilal Ismail died in a road accident in Ras Al Khaimah when his car hit a motorcycle in Al Saweih area on Sunday evening and flipped over several times under the impact, injuring him critically.
He was rushed to the emergency unit with multiple fractures and internal bleeding but he succumbed to his injuries three hours later.
A family member was quoted as saying that Ismail had admitted his wife for delivery early on Sunday and spent time with her until she delivered their baby boy at about 2pm. He then presented her with a bouquet of roses, and went home to fetch his mother and three sisters.
However, once he brought his family to the hospital, his mother had an asthma attack and so he had to once again return home to fetch her oxygen cylinder. The fateful accident occurred at about 7pm while he was returning to the hospital with the equipment, reports emirates 247.
