Karachi: Some unidentified men Sunday tried to loot the United Nations (UN) officials in Karachi, and opened fire on the car after resistance from the driver.
According to DSP Zamir Abbasi, unidentified men tried to snatch belongings from the UN officials travelling on a car in Gizri area of the city but the driver hit the car to the attackers.
The assailants, who escaped from the scene, also opened fire on the car, injuring the driver.
The driver was later shifter to a local hospital while the police cordoned-off the area to arrest the culprits.
