Islamabad: Pakistan on Sunday demanded Afghan government to handover Maulvi Fazlullah, accused of carrying out cross-border attacks in Pakistan and planning an attack on Pakistani child peace activist Malala Yousafzai.
According to diplomatic sources, the demand was made by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar in a meeting with US special envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan, Marc Grossman.
Khar demanded US to pressurize Afghanistan in order to hand over Maulvi Fazlullah.
The foreign minister said that the Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) Swat chief was hiding in Afghan area close to Pakistani borders and his aides had launched several attacks on military posts in Dir, Chitral and other areas of the neighbouring country.
