Islamabad: Muslim scholars and clerics condemned Taliban’s attack on Malala Yousufzai during Friday prayers across the country.
Clerics in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta and other cities condemned the attack and termed it as un-Islamic and said Islam doesn’t allow terrorism and killing of children and women.
The nation is observing Youm-e-Dua for the health of Malala Yousufzai. Speaking to media, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Iftikhar Hussain said that those who were saying Malala Yousufzai was used by certain elements were in fact supporting the Taliban.
He said that Taliban had accepted responsibility for shooting of Yousufzai and they should be condemned.
The minister said that action should be taken against terrorists whether they were in Waziristan or any other part of the country.
