Jamshoro: The competent authority, University of Sindh has announced to give a full basic pay to all Muslim employees of BPS-2 to BPS-16, both regular as well as contractual as an Eid-ul-Azha advance on account of Eid-ul-Azha.
A notification in this regard has been issued by Registrar Office.
According to notification, all the Muslim employees of Grade 2 to 16 both regular and contractual will be paid a full basic pay as an Eid-ul-Azha advance on account of Eid-ul-Azha on October 19, 2012, which would later be adjusted in three equal instalments from the salaries for the month of January, February and March 2013 payable on 1st February 2013, 1st March 2013 and 1st April 2013, respectively.
All the heads of institutes, departments, centres and sections have been directed to submit Eid advance bills of contractual employees whose tenure does not expire before December 31, 2012 to the Finance Wing (Pay bill section) by 12th October 2012 positively.
On the other hand, Sindh University Employees Welfare Association (SUEWA) has expressed joy over the announcement made by the competent authority and lauded the decision.
