Swat: After being informed about the absence of neurosurgeon in the Swat hospital, where Malala Yousufzai was being treated, Prime Minister Yousuf Raja Pervez Ashraf has sent a helicopter to shift the girl to Islamabad.
Malala received two bullet wounds in an armed attack while returning from school in Swat here on Tuesday.
Another girl identified as Shazia was also injured in the attack. According to reports, Malala sustained a bullet wound in the back side of her neck and she was in dire need of a neurosurgeon. However, doctors say the girl was out of danger.
She was being shifted to Peshawar through an ambulance before the prime minister send the helicopter.
The prime minister has condemned the attack on Malala Yousuzai and said he had sent a helicopter to shift the injured girl to Islamabad.
