Karachi: Imran Khan Khatak, a Pakistani student of International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi University (KU), has won the poster competition at the 13th International Symposium on Natural Product Chemistry.
The symposium was held at ICCBS from September 22 – 25, 2012.
Imran Khan was one of 117 national and international students, who were participating in the competition, and won first prize. Imran Khan is doing his PhD at HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry under the supervision of the senior professor Dr Khalid M. Khan of HEJ.
It is pertinent to mention here that over 600 researchers and scientists from 40 countries were participating in the said symposium, which is considered as one of the most prestigious international events in the field of natural product sciences.
KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser, Patron-in-Chief ICCBS-KU Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman and Director ICCBS Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary have congratulated him for his success in the international competition.
