Islamabad : The Election Commission of Pakistan has said that giving right of vote to overseas Pakistanis is not possible in the next election due to some legal complications as 4 millions Pakistanis were living in 106 countries.
A high level meeting of the ECP was held on Wednesday that decided that if overseas Pakistan wanted to cast their ballot in the coming election they would have to come to Pakistan.
The meeting decided that the ECP would announce re-election in the constituencies where turn out at women’s polling stations was found less than 10 per cent. It also approved a draft law in this regard.
The ECP also registered Pakistan Muslim League-Like Minded Group, a disgruntled group of PML-Q, as a separate political party.
