Dubai: You must be shocked after reading that a Pakistani man has breathed new life 30 minutes after he was declared dead by doctors at a hospital in the United Arab Emirates.
According to a report, the man, in his 30s, was rushed to Saqr Hospital in in Ras Al Khaimah by friends after collapsing at work and doctors diagnosed him as a dead man with no heart pulse, apnea and dilated eye pupils.
Nearly 30 minutes after a resuscitation operation, the patient’s heart began beating again and doctors decided to move him to the intensive care unit, Emirates 247 reports.
“He had all signs of death and was diagnosed as a dead man…but doctors still decided to try and revive him,” the report quoted the Arabic language daily Alkhaleej.
He was supported with respiratory and other systems for four days before he opened his eyes and woke up, the report added.
“It was a strange case and our doctors exerted sincere and strenuous efforts to save this man,” said Dr Abdullah al Nuaimi, the Hospital’s director, adding that the patient’s condition is now stable after having an infarction.
