Peshawar: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz took out rallies against the American-made film that mocks Islam.
According to reports, the PTI rally has reached US consulate where police stopped the protesters from marching on the consulate.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz rally was taken out in Qissa Khuwani Bazar of the city.
The participants of the rallies were chanting slogans against the film and the United States.
Pakistan has been witnessing a wave of protests sparked after the anti-Islam film “Innocence of Muslims” was released on You Tube.
The government has restricted You Tube in the country after a Supreme Court order.
