Karachi: The part qualified Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) students in Pakistan are earning on average Rs 68,203 in basic monthly salary plus Rs 5,770 in monthly bonus payments, a recently conducted survey reported.
Almost 80 percent respondent agree the CIMA qualification creates better career opportunities whereas 73 percent of CIMA students believe the CIMA qualification strengthens your ability to move across all areas of the business.
87 percent of CIMA students in Pakistan are anticipating a salary rise over the next 12 months whereas 89 percent of respondents agree that the CIMA qualification strengthens their ability to move internationally in their careers.
The survey conducted by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) shows the impact of professional qualifications on earnings potential, salary satisfaction and the ability to realise ambitions such as moving to a new organisation, or working abroad.
Surveyed on their expectations for the business environment over the coming 12 months, one-third of students are anticipating an increase in business profitability and salary increases, although these expectations are offset to some extent by anticipated falls in profitability and salary freezes.
Business investment is expected to reduce overall and there is expected to be little overall change in headcounts.
Bradley Emerson, Regional Director – Middle East, South Asia & North Africa of CIMA, said: “The potential for CIMA members and students to develop rewarding and dynamic international careers remains strong despite many challenges facing the business community over the next 12 months.“
Mobility of CIMA students in Pakistan remains robust, with 46 percent of students planning to move jobs within six months, and a total of 79 percent planning to move jobs within the next two years. Of those, 30 percent plan to stay within Pakistan, while 70 percent plan to move abroad.
