Tunis: At least three people were killed and 50 others injured after Tunisian police opened fire on the protestors, trying to advance towards the United States (US) embassy in Tunis, capital of Tunisia, in protest against the anti Islam film ‘Innocence of Muslims’.
According to media reports, protesters stormed the US Embassy in the Tunisian capital, with plumes of black smoke pouring from near the compound.
Police fired tear gas at the crowds, who smashed windows in the building and torched trees. The protestors also torched a school run by United States in the capital.
Earlier, the processions were taken out in different parts of Muslim world including Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Yemen, Sudan, Tunisia and Egypt. The protestors turned violent and attack US facilities in India, Yemen, Sudan and Tunisia.
