Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf Friday reiterated his stance in support of top Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal, who was excluded from International Cricket Council (ICC) awards and said that Ajmal was the best bowler of the world.
In protest of the exclusion of Pakistan’s magical spinner, Pakistan cricket Board on Friday decided that no board official would attend the International Cricket Council (ICC) awards.
“ICC should have nominated Ajmal for the award,” the chairman said adding that the council should improve its mechanism of nominating players for the awards.
He further said that the board had registered its reservations over the exclusion of Ajmal adding that PCB would honour Ajmal more than any award.
