New York: Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings tailback, is now active and will begin the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, around eight months after surgery to repair the ACL and MCL in his left knee.
On the injury report issued Friday, the player’s participation was not sure in the game
 Peterson tore the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his left knee last December and had surgery a week later.
According to Scout.com, The inactive players for the Vikings are QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson, CB A.J. Jefferson, WR Jarius Wright, S Andrew Sendejo, LB Marvin Mitchell, LB Audie Cole and G Mark Asper.
