New Delhi: Pakistani high commissioner to India Salman Bashir Monday hoped that the Pakistan-India foreign ministers meeting on Sep 8 will create a breakthrough in the relationship of the two countries.
Talking to media representatives after paying obeisance at Harmandar Sahib, Bashir, who pinned high hopes on the coming dialogue, said, “During the foreign minister-level dialogue, Pakistan is going to float new visa policy. There will be a relaxed visa regime, which will not only help tourism but also give boost to business.”
Bashir said that terrorism was a global issue now and Pakistan was serious in fighting it.
To a question that why Pakistan was still not arresting the Mumbai attack culprits, Bashir said, “Pakistan is also suffering due to terrorism and there was need for a strategy at the global level to find a solution to this problem. Pakistan is very sincere in helping India and its sincerity should not be doubted.”
Responding on the migration of Pakistani Hindus to India, Bashir said, “Minorities were safe in Pakistan. This is a false propaganda.”
