Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed the Young Doctors Association (YDA) not to boycott their professional duties.
Justice Ejazul Hasan while hearing the case on Monday also summoned the minutes of a meeting regarding the doctors’ service structure by Sept 10.
During the hearing, the counsel of the Punjab government informed the court that the provincial government was making extensive efforts to resolve the conflict with the YDA.
The counsel told the court that YDA and the government had been agreed over 42 out of 45 points. However, he made it clear that the provincial government would not accept junior doctors’ demands of direct promotion to the 18th scale and four increments per annum.
Later the court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 10.
