Wana: At least nine security personnel and 10 militants were killed in a clash in Southern Wazirisan agency of Pakistan north western tribal region bordering Afghanistan, sources said on Wednesday.
The sources said that dozens of militants attacked the security check-post in Farhang Babazayarat area of the agency, killing nine security men and injured four others. “10 militants were also killed and several others injured in retaliatory fire of the forces.”
They added that the search operation is also being carried out in the area after attack.
The security forces have been battling in the mountainous region of northwest Pakistan since 2008.
