Islamabad: Pakistan Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Monday said that the Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has not requested the Supreme Court to withdraw contempt notice against him for not implementing the apex court orders.
While talking to reporters outside the SC after the PM appeared before the country’s apex judiciary, Kaira said that the court had not taken back their contempt notice to the PM, adding that the PM had not requested the court to withdraw the notice.
The minister said that they sought time and the court had given them time.
“Raja Sahab appear before the court with honour,” Kaira said and added that they had implemented many orders of the court.
