Islamabad: A high level meeting of coalition parties presided by Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari is underway at President House, Islamabad in order to decide whether the Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf would appear before Supreme Court or not.
On Friday night, in a meeting of the PPP’s Core Committee, top PPP leaders and other legal experts decided to consult coalition parties in order to announce the final decision.
According to sources, the meeting co-chaired by PM Ashraf also include leaders from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).
President Zardari also met Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf before the meeting and discussed issues regarding PM’s appearance before Supreme Court and other national issues.
