Islamabad: The government of Pakistan Sunday suspended mobile services in order to thwart any attack during the Muslim festival, Eid-ul-Fitr. But the suspension has faced criticism on microblogging site, twitter.
The social media users including politicians and celebrities heavily criticised government’s step to suspend mobile services during the eid.
It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik Sunday said that in view of terrorists attack during Eid-ul-Fitr the mobile service in the parts of country will be suspended.
The law enforcement agencies were put on high alert on Eid after Kamra attack and other sectarian attacks across country. In, Karachi, the Sindh government imposed three day ban on pillion riding due to increased incidents of target killings in last two days.
