Al-Arish, Egypt: Some peacekeeping troops were fired upon by a group of armed men in Sinai peninsula of Egypt on Sunday.
Last week an operation against militants was started against militants in the area suspected to be behind last Sunday’s bloody attack on Egyptian border guards in which 16 people were killed.
“The attack happened in Um Shyhan area in the middle of Sinai but no one got injured,” one security source told Reuters.
