Islamabad: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday said that Pakistani militantĀ Maulvi Fazlullah, hiding in Afghanistan’s province Nuristan, wants to topple the Pakistani government.
Talking to reporters, Malik said that the Fazlullah is planning attacks on Pakistan Army from the border regions of Afghanistan.
“Afghan government should eliminate extremist elements attacking Pakistan,” the interior minister said.
The interior minister further claimed that the Fazlullah has been recruiting extremists for launching attacks in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan and Afghanistan have continuously criticised each other for supporting militants. Pakistani government has criticised Afghanistan for supporting Fazlullah while Afghan government has held Pakistani backed Haqqani Network responsible for deadly attacks on Kabul.
