London: Apple’s iPad tablets are king of global tablet share with 68 percent of market in International Data Corporation (IDC)’s spreadsheet on tablet market.
According to IDC’s Spreadsheet, Apple has 17042 shipments in 2012, about 68.2% of market share which is better than their previous record of 9248 shipments and 61.5% of market share. Overall growth in Q212/2Q11 is 84.3%.
Samsung is second with 2391 shipments in 2012. Their market share is 9.6%, better than their last year’s record with 1099 shipments and 7.3% market share. The overall growth Q212/2Q11 is 117.6% further in IDC’s reports.
Amazon is third with 1252 Shipments in 2012 and their market share is 5% also in IDC reports.
ASUS is fourth in the list with improvement of 855 shipments and their market share is 3.4% in 2012 than their previous record with397 shipments and 2.6% of market share. The overall growth in Q212/2Q11 is 115.5%.
Acer is fifth in the list with decrease in their figures of both in shipments with 385 as compared to last year’s 629 and in market shares 15% as compared to last years 4.2%. The overall growth Q212/2Q11 is -38.7% in the reports of IDC.
