Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz local leaders in Rawalpindi has opposed theĀ inclusion Sheikh Rasheed in the party, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, Hanif Abbasi and Shakeel Awan were among those who opposed efforts of key PML-N leader to take Rashid back in the party.
The TV report further claimed that local leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have alsoĀ opposed potential electoral alliance with Sheikh Rasheed’s party, the Awami Muslim League.
It claimed that some PTI leaders suggested that Rashid be included in the party instead of making an alliance with him,
Earlier, Sheikh Rashid had said that he would announce on August 13 asĀ which party he would join.
