Jhelum: In what appeared to be a rare case linked to incest in Pakistan, a nephew and his maternal aunt got married after fleeing home in Jhelum district of Punjab.
The couple has been arrested and booked in a case for establishing illegal relations after they were arrested on a session judge order.
According to a report published in a widely circulated Urdu language newspaper on Saturday, Abdul Razaq reached police station to lodge an FIR for alleged kidnapping of his 20 year old daughter Zinda Gul.
He accused son-in-law and his grandson of kidnapping his daughter on February 13. Razzaq moved a session court after, seeing police apathy into the case.
The district and session judge ordered the police to recover the girl and arrest the alleged kidnappers.
Acting upon a tip off police arrested the couple and presented them before the court who had gotten married. They were sent to jail after medical check-up suggested that the girl had become pregnant with his nephew’s baby.
