Islamabad: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Syed Naveed Qamar on Thursday said that that the terrorism is not a new thing in Pakistan and people should not interlink it with other issues.
Soon after the restoration of Nato supplies from Pakistan to Afghanistan, a new wave of militancy had been seen in the country with militants attacking army personnel in Gujrat and police officials from KPK in Lahore, in the two major incidents.
Earlier Taliban have threatened government of Pakistan to avoid restoring Nato supplies otherwise they would step up their attacks in the country.
Talking to media representatives, the defence minister said that the the current attacks across the country should not be linked up with the other issues including the restoration of Nato supplies.
“Pakistan has shown its strong response against the US attack on Salala (which killed 24 Pakistani soldiers),” he said.
He further said that that talks were underway with the Indian officials on different issues.
