Quetta: At least seven persons were killed and 10 others injured when a powerful blast following a heavy firing rocked Quetta city of Pakistan on Friday.
The blast occurred near the venue of the Awami National Party’s (ANP) public meeting in Kuchlak Bazaar.
Seven people including a child and an ANP leader Malik Qasim were killed while six others injured in the incident
Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the dead and injured to a nearby hospital.
The blast took place as Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf reached Balochistan. The prime minister also chaired a provincial cabinet meeting and said terrorists have no religion.
