Karachi: Awami National Part Sindh chapter president Shahi Syed has demanded of the Sindh government to appoint an independent home minister to maintain law and order in Karachi.
In a statement issued on Thursday, he said that a military operation should be launched in Karachi as it was the only remedy to bring peace.
The Senator said that 10 to 15 people were being killed on daily basis in Karachi but the government was keeping mum.
He was reacting over the killing of two ANP workers in Nazimand. The workers were killed in Nazimad No.2 area on Wednesday night when armed riders opened indiscriminate fire at a hotel.
Violence erupted in adjacent SITE town and traffic remained suspended on Thursday in Nazibadmad, causing difficulties for the commuters, going to factories and old city areas.
Meanwhile, eight more people have been killed in different areas of Karachi, home to at least 20 million people and commercial hub of the nation.
