Quetta: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has summoned Commandment Qillat Scouts over the killing of seven coal miners, who went missing on July 7 near Quetta and whose bullet riddled bodies were found today (Thursday) in Degari area.
The orders came as a three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed hearing into a case pertaining to missing persons and law order situation in Balochistan.
The court summoned the paramilitary officer on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m.
The Balochistan Liberation Army, a terrorist organization fighting for the independence of the province, had claimed responsibility for the abduction of the Pakhtun coal miners who all belonged to Swat valley of North Western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The rebels have also been killing Punjabi, Seraiki and Urdu speaking people in the province.
