Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday suspended National Assembly membership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker Malik Jameel Awan for holding dual nationality.
Three members bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry was hearing the case.
During the hearing on Jun 25, Jameel Awan had accepted that he holds dual nationality.
The chief justice said that the bench would try to complete hearing of the case on July 4
Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till July 4.
