Islamabad: The government on Monday said 400 megawatt electricity has been added to the national gird.
According to an official handout issued here, three thermal power plants have started production of electricity, adding 400 megawatts to the national grid. It said the situation would gradually improve.
The statement noted that production of electricity would be increased upto 15 megawatts as per instructions of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
Meanwhile, sources said that government is mulling over to cut gas supply to the industries of Sindh for two days. The sources said a final decision would be taken in this regard at a meeting at the President House.
