Jamshoro: The acting Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Dr. Parveen Shah has expressed deep sorrow on sad demise of Prof. Afaq Siddiqui, a prominent writer and translator of the verses of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.
In a condolence statement on Wednesday Dr. Parveen Shah has lauded literary and poetic contribution of Prof. Afaq Siddiqui and also his services in Urdu and Sindhi literature. She said that sincere efforts made by Prof. Afaq Siddiqui in bringing the Sindhi and Urdu languages closer to each other through his literary contribution and historic work towards translations of poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai would always be remembered.
Dr. Parveen has also expressed grief on the sad demise of late Fouzia Wahab an active leader of Pakistan People’s Party and lauded her efforts for welfare of women.
She said that Fouzia Wahab in her political life always followed footprints of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and struggled hard for the welfare of common men.
