Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party, after the consultation of its allies at President House in Islamabad, has decided to appoint Makhdoom Shahabuddin as new Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Sources said the decision was made in the meeting of the leaders of Pakistan People’s Party, presided by President Asif Ali Zardari.
The sources further said that the decision would be conveyed to the allied parties through telephone and the new Leader of the house of National Assembly would be appointed by voting on Thursday.
” Although Prime Minister Gilani raised concerns regarding the appointment of Makhdoom Shahabuddin but President Zardari assured him to set aside the reservations,” they added.
The president Zardari has directed PPP and allied parties MNA’s to fully participate in the Thursday session of NA.
