Islamabad: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari met leaders of the incumbent Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the government coalition partners at the Presidency to discuss the decisions with the army leadership over reopening of Nato supply.
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, federal ministers Farooq H Naek and Syed Khursheed Shah, MQM’s Babar Ghauri and Haider Abbas Rizvi, PML-Q’s Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Mushahid Hussain Syed and ANP’s Haji Adeel and Senator Zahid attended the meeting.
Earlier on Friday, the political and military leadership met at the presidency and discussed the issues of regional security and relations with the United States.
In Saturday’s meeting President Zardari exchanged views with the coalition partners on proposals to normalise Pakistan-US relations and the issue of reopening of Nato supply lines.
