Skardu: Dead bodies of two of the soldiers, who buried under an avalanche in the Gyari Sector last month, have been recovered on the 59th day of the operation, thus raising the recovered bodies to six.
A total of 139 people—soldiers and civilians—were buried under the ice on April 7, 2012 and since then an operation is under way to rescue the victims.
The bodies were shifted to Goma Hospital, however, the officials cannot identify it because it has decomposed badly.
The rescuers found the bodies near the check post where the soldiers were present at the time of the tragedy and there are hopes that more bodies will be found nearby.
A team of around 450 local and foreign rescuers have been working round the clock at Gyari sector, though there are little chances of any survivors after nearly two months of the incident.
