London: British Prime Minister David Cameron on Thursday supported the Pakistan’s stance on revival of cricket on its homeland and said that International cricket should be restored in Pakistan.
Talking to media in London the British Prime Minister said that United Kingdom (UK) is ready to provide assistance to Pakistan in order to improve its security measurements.
Cameron said that their country is ready to provide Pakistan security plan prepared for Olympics 2012, to be held in London adding that Pakistan should be able to utilize UK’s security plan in order to enhance their security measurements.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is on his five-day visit to UK in order to participate in the first Pak-UK summit level review of the Enhanced Strategic Dialogue and to work on the ambitious plan to raise bilateral trade to 2.5 billion pound sterling.
Efforts to restart internationals in Pakistan were hit last month when Bangladesh postponed an agreed tour over security fears.
A deadly militant attack on the Sri Lankan team bus during the Lahore Test in March 2009 made Pakistan a no-go zone for international teams, but the PCB has been trying to entice sides back to the cricket-mad but unstable country.
