Charlotte, North Carolina: Police arrested four people as they tried to intrude in the annual meeting of the shareholders of the Bank of America in Charlotte, the AP reported.
Police used a new ordinance to declare the gathering an extraordinary event subject to special restrictions.
Dozens of cops were there to contain the protest as scores of people came out to streets.
The protest was overall peaceful, but the four people were arrested on the charges of crossing police line, said Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Major Jeff Estes.
One of the arrested people, Johnny Rosa of Framingham, said despite the fact she wanted to pay back his home was foreclosed, which is why he did so.
Charlotte police used a new ordinance which allowing the city to declare public gatherings as extraordinary events. That allowed authorities to designate areas where people aren’t allowed to carry backpacks, magic markers and other items.
